The part that I am curious about is making lesson plans. I think that it may be really hard to make lesson plans. My creativity only goes so far so I think that maybe I will have trouble with this. So, I put a website on here that helps with lesson plans and how to come up with different ways to teach. Although this is going to be hard to do I am sure when I get to college I will find different ideas.

The Students
What I like about Kindergarten over other grades is how eager the kids are. When kids are in first and second grade they start to wear off of the idea that school is new and fun, and they sometimes don't want to go. That is the difference between my second grade and kindergarten classes because the kindergarteners are a lot more eager. Everyday when I walk in the kids say things like "OH my gosh it's Ms. Sallie!!" I love that they like me and it makes me want to be better. The second graders always fake sick and say things like can you call my daddy I want to go home? The kindergarteners have said things like, I would live here if I could. I love that they want to be there because it makes me want to be there too.
My Favorite Part
If I had to pick my favorite of Cadet Teaching it would be my cooperating teacher. Mrs. Sermersheim is one of my most favorite people that I have ever met. She makes me feel really relaxed and she is always making jokes. She knows if I am having a bad day even if I don't show it and she always is talking to me. She is real with her students and she does not baby them or talk to them like they are "less" than her if that makes sense. She talks to them like intelligent people and I love that. I hope to be a teacher like her and I will always remember some of her techniques and try to use them. I have heard of kids not liking their cooperating teachers or them not being personal and it makes me feel thankful because I know that she has made me want to be a teacher more than ever. :-)
First Communion
Like I said, I help teach Sunday School. My favorite part about it is that I am helping them prepare to receive their first communion. This is a great experience because I love the thought of being able to help them prepare for such a special time in their lives. I help them learn the hand motions to different songs and I helped them prepare for first reconciliation. The kids get really into it and I think they really enjoy Sunday School a lot.
Sunday School
Not only do I do cadet teaching, but I also help out on Sundays in Sunday school. I like this because it is a different grade level and it mixes up what I do Monday through Friday. I also like it because it gives me the aspect of a public school environment. I know this sounds weird because I am teaching religion but the public school kids are different than the kids that go to a Catholic School on a normal basis. I just like teaching Sunday school because it is a relaxed environment with a little bit different kind of way about the class.
